CONGRATULATIONS! De Pere Girls Softball has set a registration record this year for the number of girls playing in this coming season. We have added three more teams to bring the league total to 39 teams. We will also be having six traveling tournament teams and sponsoring two Tuesday night high school teams. Thank you for making DGSA a great opportunity for the girls.

DGSA continues to be dedicated to providing a safe, fun and positive environment within which to teach girls the fundamentals of softball and provide solid skill players for the area high school teams. Please be sure to take note of the following important dates and information.

Equipment Donations and Sale

WHAT CAN I DONATE?
Used (but not worn out) bats, gloves, spikes, batting gloves, helmets, sliding pads and bat bags.

WHEN AND WHERE CAN I DONATE?
Bring your used equipment to the concession stand July 7, 8, 9, & 10 during the U10 & U12 Tournament.

WHEN IS THE EQUPMENT SALE?
Our plan is for the Equipment Sale to be in January on the nights of 2009 registration and/or at the night the parents pick up player packets in April.

WHY SHOULD I DONATE?
As most of you already know, we are in the process of adding a softball diamond at the West De Pere Middle school and at Optimist Park. This will give us much more flexibility in scheduling games and possibly hosting tournaments. While these upgrades will be fantastic for our program, we have to realize that we still need to raise money to meet our goals.

Most parents who have girls in DGSA can attest to the boxes of "worn" but not "worn out" softball equipment they have stored in their garages or basements. Parents are also all too familiar with the high cost of new equipment. With that in mind, we've come up with a relatively painless way to raise much needed funds - an Equipment Sale.
